HELP i want to lease a horse but need help!!?

i live in North Carolina and i want to lease a horse for my daughter she is twelve and has been around horses before she was potty trained. I need a barn that leases horses out or lets you rent one

The horse you described probably doesn’t exist. Barrel racing ( a western speed event) is very different and requires much different skills than jumping. Horses can do both at beginner levels but you’ll be running 18-20 second barrel times and jumping low heights. I understand you said one or the other – but you should probably pick a discipline if you want to excel at anything.

I thought you said you were leasing for a 12 year old girl. I don’t care how well a child rides’ a barrel horse / hot jumper needs something more than an adolescent rider. I was riding ‘hot’ horses at that age and it caused more problems than it was worth – but it was all we owned. If you’re leasing – get something both safe AND capable. You never know lease horses as well as you know your own as you simply aren’t on them every day. Go for safe and sound first – then additional things.

Search Equine.com for leases -there are tons or horses that cost less than 2 months lease at your standards.

It is an old-fashioned horse racing ARCADE game, and you can gamble with it. The only thing I can think of that comes close would have to be some of these classic and antique machines…

They were as big as a pool table and some as huge as a car…
they were enclosed with a complete race track that was a slot track with several different “horses”

You would bet on the color or number on the side of the horse with your dollar token and the race would begin…

The machines were as random as slots – but in later versions you could actually lay odds

Although they are extremely difficult to find here in the states – the japanese have taken them to the next generation – with fully digitized screens and onside betting { some of them could fill a whole room }

Unfortunately I could not find the maker of these machines that were from the states as they are so scarce– but in japan you can easily recognize Konami and Sega from these pictures…. on the pages below you will see different versions of them in action {including the largest next gen. version from japan}

any info including average payouts etc will be helpful.

the lower the odds the better the horse is to place higher in the race..
the higher the odds the horse is more likey to finsh back in the field..

How to play the ponies…?

My company Christmas party is tomorrow and we’re going the race track to watch the [horses] race. I’m told this is very fun and I look forward to it… one problem, I know nothing about betting and gambling. I’ve never even been to the race track.

How many horses are euthanized as a result of horse racing?

I was watching ESPN and I thought I heard something like 700 that can’t be right does anyone know?
There’s a difference between being injured and dieing. Are horse racers that naive?

“At the state’s five licensed tracks, Marsh and other veterinarians with the Texas Racing Commission have euthanized or documented the deaths of 300 horses in the past five years, usually after the animals broke ankles, legs or even spinal cords during races, according to the agency’s database of horse injuries obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.”

“Five years ago, about 15 horses per 1,000 were killed or seriously injured in Texas. Last year, that rate had dropped by nearly half.”

“Besides the deaths, vets documented 2,000 scrapes and bruises, and 550 pulled tendons, broken bones and other serious injuries that weren’t immediately life-threatening.”

“The 300 deaths documented by racing commission vets could be the tip of the iceberg, since those are only the animals killed on race days.”

Question for WWE Canadian fans…?
