Automatic horse racing bots?

Which horse racing ‘bots’ are best. That is those systems that you preset & can go out for the day & come home to see results (& hopefully profits) on your horse racing bets.
Have tried Auto Bf – no good ! Very slow monthly set up, dont answer emails, & they robbed me of a months sub with no product. Hipro86 are good. Any others ?

Horse Racing Form Online

Where can I get horse and/or greyhound racing programs online for free?

I know we used to be able to get great extended info from Rosnet2000.com but they are not free anymore. I know that some greyhound tracks have some 6-race history programs (rather than the rosnet 20-race history programs) in PDF form which is hardly usable in spreadsheet programs without manual entry of data, unless you have expensive additional software. And I have yet to find a free horse racing program anywhere online for any American Racetrack in any form, PDF or otherwise. Anybody had any luck?
So…i must add, I am searching for entire race programs..not picks. We want to generate our own picks based on a program that is free. I take it it is impossible to get free programs for entire performances in Horse races. And…I take it there is no FREE substitute for the once-free Rosnet2000.com. Thanks everyone for all your hard work. I will definitely use your suggestions

Horse Betting Terms

Why do people still think its impossible to win long term at gambling? And that the bookie always wins?

With casino betting it is very different, everything is strictly controlled and in the casinos favour. You can not win long term in a casino because of the types of games you are playing. They have a casino edge, which cannot be manipulated into your favour. For instance a roulette table will pay you 35/1 for each number but because of the two zeros (or one in european roulette) there is actually 38 possible outcomes, hence why you cannot make money. But with sports betting and horse racing you have to remember the bookie is taking a gamble himself by offering odds against a certain event that he has no control of. He must guess the right probabilities and then offer odds (and a built in margin which will supposedly make him profit) accordingly. But bookies certainly do not always make money and where as a bookie must offer odds on any race or event, the astute bettor can pick and choose his investments very wisely and when he thinks that bookies calculations are flawed in his favour.

I don’t know if this was a statement or a question but i will answer by saying that you are right, casino games all have a house edge. The only game that does not have an edge is poker, all other games the odds are against you. But sports betting the line is not in your favor and is set by the casino to favor them. Now that’s not saying that you can’t pick a winners, but you have to know what you are doing to make money at it. I work as a poker dealer in a Las Vegas casino for over 5 years and i only know 2 people who make there living off of sports betting, you have to be very adept to win at sports betting, i myself don’t bet a lot of games because i have no edge over the games. If you can pick the winners then good for you and best of luck.

Heritage Handicaps: 2006 Flat Season

Would you watch bull fighting if the bull had an equal chance of winning?

Like if statistically half the bullfights ended in the usual way and half ended with the matador or one of his crew getting getting rubbed out by the bull. They could operate it like the handicap system in horse racing to make it fair, or use bigger and more experienced bulls.

I agree – it may be just vaguely watchable if the bull has at least an equal chance. If the bull has no chance; there is no sport. Just cruelty.

Kentucky Derby terms and betting?

I want to bet on the Derby. When I was at the Oaks yesterday I was told you tell them what race, what horse #, and whether or not you are betting for them to win or show.

#1 – What does it mean to show (this question leads to question #3)?

I’m reading, on yahoo answers, about exacta, placing, profecta (I have no idea if I’m spelling these right).

#2 – What the heck are all of the terms and what do they mean?

I want to make an educated bet.

#3 – Where is the best place to make a bet online since I didn’t even think to bet while I wasa AT Churchill Downs yesterday?

win – you’re betting on the horse to come first.

place – you’re betting on the horse to come first or second. you get paid the place price no matter if the horse comes first or second. the payout for the win will be higher than the payout for the place.

show – you’re betting on the horse to come first second or third. you get paid the show price no matter if the horse comes 1st, 2nd or 3rd. show payouts are generally (with very rare exceptions) lower than the payout for the win and place.

the reason you’d bet to show is because you get $ no matter if the horse comes 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. It’s a more sure bet than a win.

exacta – you’re betting 2 horses to come 1st and 2nd. your horses have to cross the line in order… if you bet 1 2 but they come in 2 1 you lose. That’s why you should bet your exacta boxed. an exacta box is if you’re betting 2 horses to come in in either way… so you can bet on the 1 and 2 in an exacta box and you win if they come 1 2 or 2 1. Remember that in exacta bets, you’re paying for each combination. If you bet a straight exacta (1 2 only) then you pay $2… if you box it (1 2 or 2 1) then it’s $4. You can also box 3 horses into an exacta box so you win if they come in 1 2, 2 1, 1 3, 3 1, 3 2, or 2 3. A 3 horse exacta box will cost you $12.

Trifecta – it’s like an exacta, except that it’s for the top 3 spots. If you box a trifecta, it will cost $12. If you have a 4 horse trifecta box, it’s $48.

A superfecta is for the top 4 spots. Superfecta box is $48. 5 horse superfecta box is $240.

A superfecta will pay really well if you win, but it costs a lot to bet it. Trifectas usually pay a couple hundred dollars. Superfectas will generally pay near $1000.

The other thing you can do with the exotic bets (exacta, trifecta, superfecta) is wheel them. It’s sorta like boxing those bets. If you think the 3 horse won’t win the race, but it might be up for the place or show (2nd or 3rd), then you won’t want to pay extra in the trifecta box to put that 3 horse on top… instead you’ll do a trifecta wheel with the 1 and 2 over the 1 2 and 3.

To bet on the Derby, you can sign up for free accounts at either xpressbet.com or twinspires.com Each of them have special promotions going on today. If you sign up today and spend $100 at xpressbet, you get a credit of $100 to bet over the next month. I believe twinspires is sorta the same except you have to bet $500 to get $100.

If you ever need a quick definition or you want to learn more about betting on horses, NTRA has a part of their website called ntraU. It teaches you a lot about how to bet on horses. Here’s a link to the glossary section of the website… you can refer to that if you have any more questions about wagering terms. http://www.ntra.com/content.aspx?type=other&id=4797&section=ntrau
