Florent Geroux

Primary Tracks: Keeneland, Churchill Downs, Turfway Park, Oaklawn Park, Fair Grounds

Florent Geroux is a French born jockey who got his start riding in Europe. After early success as the leading apprentice jockey in his home country he set his eyes on becoming an American rider in 2007. Upon arrival in the United States he suffered a serious injury that delayed his impact on American racing.

It wouldn’t be until 2010 that he got his first stakes win at Presque Isle Downs and his first American jockey meet title at Hawthorne in Illinois. From there his career would take an upward trajectory in the States earning him mounts on superstars of the game like Shedaresthedevil, Monomoy Girl, and Gun Runner. Geroux has won at least graded stakes every year since 2010.
