Top Daily Horse Picks 10/13/2020

Some of the top races for Oct. 13 will take place at Finger Lakes and Parx Racing. Let's take a look at some of the top picks for each track, with all of the races being either allowance or claiming events. 

Finger Lakes (Races 2 and 7) 

Race 2 at Fingerlakes is a $5,000 claiming event for 3-year-olds and upward, and it will cover a distance of one mile and seventy yards. The field will include six runners. 

The top picks for Race 2 are the #4 Mac's Revolution and #5 Simma Cum Laude.

Mac's Revolution is coming in as the 9/5 morning-line favorite. The 4-year-old Revolutionary colt is trained by Michael Ferraro and has a career record of 3-0-2 from 18 starts with earnings of $54,813.

Some of his top performances of 2020 include two victories. Last time out, he took first in a Sept. 14 claiming race at Finger Lakes, which followed another claiming victory on Aug. 24 at the track. 

The Daniel Conway, Jr.-trained Simma Cum Laude has a morning line at 2/1. The 5-year-old gelding from Simmard is 3-2-2 from 20 career starts with earnings of $38,581.

All three of his 2020 performances have been on-the-board finishes, including a Sept. 28 claiming victory last time out at Finger Lakes. 

Turning to Race 7, the allowance event for 3-year-old and up fillies and mares will cover one mile and forty yards. The field will include six entrants. 

The top picks for Race 7 are the #4 Lady Macho and #6 Dancing Slippers. 

Trained by Jeremiah Englehart, Lady Macho is coming in as the morning-line favorite at 7/5. The 4-year-old Mucho Macho Man filly has a career record of 1-3-1 from 12 starts and earnings of $89,950. 

She only has one on-the-board finish this year, which was a runner-up effort in a Sept. 29 allowance race at Finger Lakes. 

The other top pick is the 6/1 Dancing Slippers, trained by Robbie Davis. The 4-year-old filly from Catienus is 1-2-2 from 21 career starts and has earnings of $78,290.

She is coming off a Sept. 21 maiden special weight victory at the track. 

Parx Racing (Races 6 and 9)

Race 6 at Parx Racing is an $8,000 claiming race for 3-year-olds and up. It will cover a distance of 6 1/2 furlongs and include six runners among the field. 

The top picks for Race 6 are the #6 Pharaoh's City and #2 Nice Bree N Teej. 

Trained by Harold Wyner, Pharaoh's City is coming in at 4/1. The 7-year-old gelding from Eskendereya is 10-8-9 from 62 career starts and has earnings of $199,108.

He has two victories this year, including an Aug. 12 waiver claiming race here and a June 24 claiming race at Delaware Park. 

The Claudio Gonzalez-trained Nico Bree N Teej has a morning line at 7/2. He is a 5-year-old gelding from Freedom Child with a record of 4-7-4 from 30 starts and earnings of $175,301.

He is coming off a third-place run in an Aug. 31 claiming race at Delaware Park. His last performance at Parx was a disappointing 10th-place finish in a Feb. 29 claiming race. 

Turning to Race 9, it is a claiming race for 3-year-olds and up. It will cover one mile and 70 yards and include six entrants. 

The top picks for Race 9 are the #3 Shane's Jewel and #5 Celtic Treasure.

Trained by Jamie Ness, Shane's Jewel is coming in at 9/2. The 5-year-old gelding from Eskendereya has a career record of 7-7-5 from 36 starts and earnings of $256,665. 

Last time out, he took third in an Aug. 20 starter optional claiming race at Laurel Park. He did win at Parx Racing this year, with a Feb. 25 claiming victory. 

The other top pick is the 8/5 favorite, Celtic Treasure. The 4-year-old gelding from Treasure Beach is trained by Claudio Gonzalez and is 4-3-3 from 20 starts. 

He is still looking for his first win of the year. Last time out, he took second in a Sept. 30 starter allowance race at the track.
